Essity’s highest decision-making body is the General Meeting, which all shareholders are entitled to attend, to have a matter considered and to vote for all shares held by the shareholder.
The Board of Directors and the company’s auditor are appointed at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). The AGM also decides on remuneration to the members of the Board and on guidelines for remuneration of senior executives. Essity has two listed classes of shares: class A shares and class B shares. Each class A share carries ten votes while each class B share carries one vote.
